Hip Rotator Support Flow
October Schedule: Week Four
•
40m
Hip rotators are crucial for pelvic health because they share a direct anatomical connection with the pelvic floor muscles. Proper hip rotation, especially internal rotation, improves pelvic alignment, strengthens the core, and reduces strain on the pelvic floor, which can help prevent issues like pelvic pain, urinary incontinence, and lower back pain. When hip rotators are weak or tight, it can lead to an imbalance that negatively affects pelvic floor function.
Furthermore, we see a lot of dysfunction from the Obturator Internus being chronically tight. Part of that is because the pelvic floor muscles pick up the slack when the hip rotators are weak. In today's class, we spend time making space, creating mobility AND stability!
You'll need: bolster or something similar, tennis ball, strap and two blocks
