Balancing Act
1h 3m
One of my teachers along my own yoga journey said, "Balancing poses give us a chance to find out center of gravity and dance around it's edges." I love this concept. One does not simply come into balance and stay there. It's a dynamic relationship with gravity where you flow in and out of it. And that's like life as well. Some days will flow more gracefully than others. Some days we will stumble and perhaps even fall. And that's okay.
Class today prepped us for some more challenging poses at the end of class. They are meant to play with our center of gravity so if you find yourself getting frustrated, I really invite you to take a step back, do a simpler version and meet yourself where you are.
The structures we activate in balancing poses also create stability in our pelvis. The deep core, legs, glutes and hips all play an important role. So the focus of this class really has so many purposes!
