Flow for Hypertonic Pelvic Floor
37m
When there's tension in your pelvic floor it can create a lot of problems. It starts to affect the structures around it and can lead to a lot of discomfort, pain and chronic conditions. Many people think that jumping to kegels and strengthening the pelvic floor is going to bring them pelvic health but in a lot of cases, it can actually lead to more discomfort. You cannot exercise your way out of a tight muscle. It has to be able to soften when necessary and then activate when appropriate.
In the Slow Flow class, we have many opportunities to soften and balance it out with gentle activation. I go over a short anatomy of the sitz bones in the beginning to give you something to be mindful of as you go through your flow.
