Hello! Calves & Feet
34m
Your pelvic floor doesn't work in isolation. Every step starts on the ground. Your feet and calves help move you forward, pump blood back toward your heart (which is why the calves are called the second heart!) and influence the way your hips and pelvis move and function.
Your feet provide a stable, tripod like base for your body which has a very important role of supporting everything above it. Including your pelvis! We've talked about how there are myofascial lines that connect from your feet all the way up to your tongue, passing through the calves and pelvis.
Having restriction in the feet and/or calves can interrupt the function of everything up above so in today's class, we focus on releasing, bringing mobility and some light flow to our practice.
You'll need: strap, 2 blocks, tennis ball and if you have it, a slant board or something similar for our last pose of the practice.
