Side Body Stability
36m
Having a strong side body, including the lats and serratus muscles, is important for pelvic health because they help stabilize the spine and pelvis, creating a foundation for the core muscles that support pelvic organs. Weak lats can lead to imbalances and poor posture, putting stress on the lower back and pelvis, while strong lats improve posture and stability for better overall core and pelvic health.
These muscles are also directly related to our ability to breathe well. We know if that function is compromised then it can lead to dysfunction in the pelvic floor.
While this is a stability class, it's appropriate for all levels. As long as you've done the initial ground work of learning how to connect with breath (or at least have an idea of it), you've done the opening and mobility work, this will be appropriate.
