Module 4: Hamstrings, Obturator, Vulva & Hips
Newly Added!
•
44m
This class is a little longer, hitting around the 45 min mark. The hamstrings are a long muscle and unfortunately, it just doesn't work to do them both at once! This class hits up a lot of areas that are related to having urinary urgency, uti-like symptoms and even external pain. Having restriction in the hamstrings also greatly affects our posture. If they are in a shortened state, they will pull the pelvis into a posterior tilt which also shortens the abdominal muscles, psoas and creates compensation patterns in many surrounding muscles.
In regards to the towel bolster posture we do... you'd be surprised at how much tension we can hold in the external genitalia and the tissues around the perineum and transverse perineum. This posture can be a little intense if you are restricted there so go slow, listen and don't push yourself! You can always come back and do it again but start small.
For this class you'll need:
tennis ball
two blocks
small hand towel
chair
blanket
