Pain is created in the brain. Does that mean it’s all in your head? No. It’s very real & very felt… but it starts in the brain. Signals are then transferred to areas of the body. Which offers us opportunity to help manage the pain by addressing the brain through the regulation of the nervous system.
In today’s class, we focused on down-regulating an oversensitive nervous system. We did this through slow, fluid movement with lots of time spent exploring in a gentle, not activating way as well as some restful poses for cultivating stillness.
You’ll Need: pretty much everything!
Blocks, a mat, a blanket, a bolster or pillows for support, strap and a chair.
